Entire Team Is Babies!

Humanity is still in its infancy.

I do a lot of thinking when I'm alone. When I'm practicing with my nunchaku there is this strange, almost meditative state that I slip into. Maybe it's the endorphins. I don't know.
I do think a lot about the state of the world, and government, and religion and I've come to the conclusion that everyone is wrong. First and foremost people as a majority are under the opinion that with age comes wisdom. Not so. Wisdom comes with experience and knowledge. Just because you're a fifty-something year old red neck with a ton of money (which incidentally only has value because the ignorant place value on it) does not mean you're fit to run a country. Religion is flawed as well. It always will be. I love that it groups people together and those groups do a lot of good things for their communities but I hate that they have to call everyone else wrong and try and drag them into their religious beliefs. Science, is in a way, also a religion. They try almost as hard as other religious factions to convince people that they are right. I tend to side more with science than religion because they have more evidence to back their theories but they can be just as close minded as everyone else. For instance: who are they to say there isn't a divine being? I'm not saying there is or isn't a "God" but shouldn't part of one's quest for self and personal truth be the ability to make that choice on their own?

I am very cautious about what I choose to believe when people try and tell me things. It's why I don't vote or go to church. I'm in this life to learn and make decisions on my own and too often the rest of the world is trying to control and alter what it is that I'm doing. Do I want to go to school? Yes. The pursuit of truth is partly through knowledge and what better place to gain knowledge than a classroom or a library? Once again, however, the matter of money comes into play. You see- the people of this world have decided that a fictional value should be placed upon everything and so I can't afford to go to school and have to find other means of educating myself until I can find a "job" with which I can pay for schooling with. Humanity is obsessed with rules and systems to the point of self enslavement. The word "freedom" is meaningless now because no matter what you do someone will want to control you. I'm told that if I vote it will help change things. Yet, every time an election passes and new people are put into power; nothing changes. Sure the economy shifts one way or another and laws are passed that help or discriminate any particular group but we don't really get any sort of actual freedom. We still have to get up, go to work (those of us that do have jobs), and slave away for hours all because the man (starting to sound like a hippie) needs green pieces of paper to keep us in check.

Is humanity inherently good or evil? I try and think back to times when mankind first started thinking for itself. Cave man days, you know? And I would like to think the world could operate in a simpler state. I've been told that the only reason anything progresses forward is because of the promise of wealth. Money. I would like to think that human kind progresses forward on an alternate plane without material wealth. What really created all this current computer and pharmaceutical technology? It wasn't money. It was a select group of individuals who used their brains because they wanted to better the world and make things simpler for their race. Sure, some of them probably did it for the money but that thought is so narrow and weak that I refuse to believe it. I would like to believe that if we were to revert back to a government-less state and the money all became without value that we would progress forward and make advances anyway just because it is the human drive to do so.

Or maybe I'm just insane.
